News from the Online Collection „Wiedergutmachung for National Socialist Injustice“

By Archivportal-D

The biggest news relates to the ‘further information’ section. A new page layout provides a more structured and contextualized presentation of our extensive information on history, bibliographical references, maps, glossary, and of all other background information. There is much less ‘clicking’ to do - just browse through the new navigation!

A lot has changed in the archival holdings overview. During the past months, the local archives of Rhineland-Palatinate and Hesse have identified thematically pertinent holdings, which you can now find in the overview (link). Further additions will follow.

The Online Collection offers access to the archival records not only via the traditional provenance-based hierarchy but also via thematic subjects. Here, we revised the subject structure by taking into account all currently available archival material in order to avoid duplications and thus to improve the user’s navigation to the subject of interest.

What else has changed? From now on, you will find our announcements from the ‘News’ section not only by selecting the corresponding tab in the German Archives Portal but also directly on the landing page of the Online Collection. We will regularly provide information about new features from all sections of the Online Collection. Take a look, for example, to see which literature references have recently been added to the bibliography. (link)

We are looking forward to your visit on our new pages!
