Bestandsbeschreibung: In diesem Findbuch sind in erster Linie die Archivalien aufgenommen, die der Vereinsbibliothekar und -archivar Josef Kloos (1960-1980) geordnet und verzeichnet hatte. Einige kleinere Bestände sind von anderen Vorstandsmitgliedern überliefert, vornehmlich die Handakten des Kassierers Hans Harney, der Schriftführer Bernhard Jahn und Klaus-Jürgen Exler, des Präsidenten René Heinersdorff und des Bibliothekars und Pressereferenten Rainer Großimlinghaus. Der Großteil der Archivalien umfasst den Zeitraum seit den 1950er Jahren. Ältere Teile sind z.B. die Belege und Rechnungen von 1885/86 bzw. seit 1909, Künstlerautographen (sogen. "Künstlermonogramme") und -schreiben von 1880-1941, Unterlagen der Niederrheinischen Musikfeste von 1842-1926, Programme seit dem Jahre 1830 und Reste des älteren Schriftverkehrs. Nach Abschluss der Verzeichnungsarbeiten 1991/1992 kam der Bestand als Depositum an das Stadtarchiv Düsseldorf. Ältere Vereinsunterlagen befinden sich ebenfalls im Stadtarchiv in Bestand 0-1-20. Die Musikalien befinden sich als Depositum im Heinrich-Heine-Institut.
The Bundeszentralkartei (BZK) is the central register of the federal government and federal states for completed compensation proceedings. When a claim is entered into the BZK, a number is assigned for unique identification. This BZK number refers to a compensation claim, not to a person. If a person has made several claims (e.g. for themselves and for relatives), each claim generally has its own BZK number. Often, the file number of the respective compensation authority is used as the BZK number.
This number is important for making an inquiry to the relevant archive.

If the application was submitted by another person or organization than the persecutee (for example, their son or daughter), this other person or organization is designated as ‘antragstellend’ and their relationship to the persecutee is noted, if known. In the sources, the persecutee is sometimes referred to as ‘Geschädigter’ (aggrieved party) and the applicant as ‘Anspruchsberechtigter’(claimant).
