Vorwort: Heinrich Georg Abraham Grüttner (1794-1849), aus Stralsund stammend, war seit 1815 oder 1816 in Lübeck bei dem Ofenfabrikanten Heinrich Buchwaldt, Rosenstr. 8 (damals Nr. 7) beschäftigt. Am 15. November 1821 wurde Grüttner Bürger und machte sich anschließend als Töpfermeister selbständig. Im Adressbuch ist er erstmals 1824 nachweisbar, damals wohnte er in der Hundestraße 33 (damals Nr. 124); 1826-1850 wird er im Adressbuch als Engelsgrube 22 (damals Nr. 542) wohnend geführt.
