Form und Inhalt: Elfriede Sure wurde am 09.10.1892 in Werdohl-Solmbecke (Kleinhammer) geboren. Sie lernte Nähen und ging anschließend nach Wuppertal um Haushalten zu lernen. Als Begleiterin einer adeligen Dame, die in Berlin eine Pension und in Brüssel das Soldatenheim führte, kam sie nach Belgien um als Hilfsschwester zu arbeiten. Nach dem Krieg kam sie nach kurzem Aufenthalt in Werdohl in die Niederlande wo sie in der Familie van der Werfhorst arbeitete und trat danach eine Stellung bei der Familie Eckart Hauptmann an.50 Jahre war "Etta" Haushälterin des zweiten Sohnes von Gerhard Hauptmann, begleitete die Familie nach Haarlem in den Niederlanden, wo Hauptmann Direktor der AEG Amsterdam war. Nach der Flucht im Oktober 1944 kam sie mit der Familie nach Geilsheim in Mittelfranken, 1950 dann nach Wiesbaden. Bis zu ihrem Tod im Februar 1977 war sie Teil der Familie.Der Bestand wurde von Kreisarchivamtfrau Gabriele Aschöwer verzeichnet.
