Der erste Empfänger des Einregistrierungs- und Domänenbüros Jülich war bereits am 23 germinal an VI (12. April 1798) ernannt (Roerdepartement Nr. 3025, lfd. Nr. 5). Das Büro Jülich war ursprünglich zuständig für die Kantone Jülich, Geilenkirchen und Titz, seit 23. brumaire an VII (13. November 1798) bis 1810 für die Kantone Jülich und Linnich. Der Kanton Geilenkirchen wurde dem Büro Heinsberg zugewiesen und erhielt auf Grund der Verordnung vom 28. September 1810 ein eigenes Büro. Diesem Büro wurde auch der Kanton Linnich eingegliedert, so daß das Büro Jülich seit 1811 nur noch für den Kanton Jülich zuständig war. Der letzte Empfänger übte seine Funktion bis zum 14. Januar 1814 aus (vgl. Roerdepartement Nr. 3855). Bei der Belagerung der Festung Jülich durch die verbündeten Mächte war er mit eingeschlossen (vgl. Gouvernement vom Nieder- und Mittelrhein Nr. 2459). Am 20. Mai 1814 wurde er zum Rentmeister von Brühl ernannt (ebd. Nr. 942).

BZK no.

The Bundeszentralkartei (BZK) is the central register of the federal government and federal states for completed compensation proceedings. When a claim is entered into the BZK, a number is assigned for unique identification. This BZK number refers to a compensation claim, not to a person. If a person has made several claims (e.g. for themselves and for relatives), each claim generally has its own BZK number. Often, the file number of the respective compensation authority is used as the BZK number.

This number is important for making an inquiry to the relevant archive.

In the sources, the persecutee is sometimes referred to as ‘Geschädigter’ (aggrieved party) and the applicant as ‘Anspruchsberechtigter’(claimant).
